Who We Are
TagLine is a Shopify app operated by Reyer LLC ("we", "us", "our"). TagLine helps fashion and retail merchants manage their product catalog, purchase orders, inventory, sales analytics, and product descriptions. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at matt@byreyer.com.
What Data We Collect
When you install TagLine, we access the following data from your Shopify store through the Shopify API: product information (titles, descriptions, variants, pricing, inventory levels, images), order data (order history, line items, revenue figures for sales analytics), and basic store information (store name, domain, owner email). We only access data that is necessary for the features you use.
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely to provide TagLine features to your store. This includes syncing your product catalog, parsing vendor line sheets and purchase orders, generating AI-powered product descriptions, analyzing sales performance and sell-through rates, generating reorder recommendations, and producing reports. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services
TagLine uses the following third-party services to operate: Anthropic (Claude AI) for product description generation and document parsing, Railway for application hosting, and Resend for email delivery of weekly reports. These services process data only as needed to provide their respective functions and are bound by their own privacy policies.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in a secured PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway. We use encrypted connections (TLS/SSL) for all data transmission. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel only. We do not store Shopify API credentials in plain text.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data for as long as TagLine is installed on your store. When you uninstall TagLine, we delete your store data within 30 days of uninstallation. If you would like your data deleted sooner, contact us at matt@byreyer.com and we will process your request within 48 hours.
Your Rights
You have the right to request access to the data we hold about your store, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, and export your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email us at matt@byreyer.com.
GDPR and CCPA Compliance
TagLine complies with GDPR and CCPA requirements. We process data based on the legitimate interest of providing our service to you. We respond to Shopify mandatory webhooks for customer data requests (access and deletion) and store erasure requests as required by Shopify for all apps.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of TagLine after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
